The corner of the door frame got bashed when we moved the couch in, and the wood split pretty badly. After sanding down the rough edges and filling the gap with wood putty, I matched the paint color from a chip I saved. The repair blended in surprisingly well, and now the latch clicks shut properly instead of rubbing against the cracked jamb.
